IAWTV Award Nominations 2011 (as a list)
Because I am not really happy with the presentation of the categories on the IAWTV homepage (it’s not handy if you wanna have an overview), I made a simple list for you with all the categories and all the nominations on it. Read it now, thank me later. :) Best Comedy Web Series     Gigi: Almost American     PRETTY     The Guild     The Jeff Lewis 5-minute Comedy Hour     Video Game...

The Move (that's stuff for a film)...
It’s postponed for a week. The movers are terribly busy. Anyway, this week, next week, who cares. Word from customs is, my move from Germany to Switzerland after more than 18 months of living here is not on their list of exceptions (the list of exceptions by the way is so secret no one knows if it even exists, it’s probably just an urban legend). So, I have to pay sales tax, which is...

Moving again...
If you follow my posting(s) you might know by now, that I’m finally moving all of my stuff from Germany to Switzerland. For about 5 years I had an apartment in both countries. Yesterday I’ve learned that Switzerland has a time limit to move your stuff for free to Switzerland. It’s 18 months. So with my 5 years, I’m clearly beyond that time limit. But there are exceptions...

Dan Harmon Poops: Fine, we're geniuses but not... →
danharmon: (this is a post for Community fans, clarifying an odd rumor about a recent episode. No need to read more if you’re not absurdly obsessed with our show). I have been trying not to read reviews, and especially the discussions under them, this season, as I have become emotionally fused with our TV…

Moving (and) stuff...
Okay, as I am a very difficult to understand person (especially when I talk to someone) I try to explain some of the things everyone asks, but I fail to explain in just 140 characters. -Q Where are you moving to? -A My current situation is me having a home in three different countries. First of all Austria. I was born in Vienna, was raised there and worked there for almost 37 years. One day I...

San Diego Comic Con 2011 - my only blog entry
Isn’t it strange that I’m here in San Diego for Comic Con since almost a week and I haven’t managed to write a single line on my own blog. I did two articles over at San Diego Comic-Con blog, but otherwise I was lazy like that. Update: I’m even more lazy, I haven’t managed to bring this post to an end while in San Diego. Now I’m already 3 days back in LA....

So much done - so less time left
Time is running fast and in less than 24 hours I will be up in the air (except this volcano ash cloud gets in the way) flying back to Zürich. But here a short recap of the last four days. Thursday lunch with Elias Benavidez (@hllywdEMB) the creator of A Boys Life. I am the Executive Producer of this short film. It will be out in June. Also at the lunch was Kristyn Burtt (@KristynBurtt), Allison...

Hollywood was freezing cold
At least in my opinion Hollywood was freezing cold in the last two days. Rain and dark clouds all over the place for most of the time. But it’s back to almost normal now. I’m way behind in writing about my LA trip so here a short recap what was happening since Monday (besides the rain and cold). Moving day was kinda okay. I was out of the house in Venice by 11am and had to kill 2...

Another day at a shooting...
Sunday I had the honor to see Heath Vinyard (@HeathVinyard) at work on the set of his series Replaced (@replacedseries). They are currently making the pilot of this very interesting idea of his. I loved to be on set in Tustin - Orange County. The weather gods though weren’t so happy about it in the first place and sent us rain and heavy wind. So the shooting started late. But with tight...

Twenty percent chance of rain
It’s Sunday morning and the predicted 20 percent chance of rain turned into 100 percent at 4:45. I hope it stops soon. Brrr. But let’s look further back. Friday was a real vacation day. And I loved it. Sleeping in, having lunch in Santa Monica with my dear friend Kenny (@geekyfanboy) at the Daily Grill. Doing a bit of Laundry before and after lunch. Picking up my new SIM card for my...

Venice
It’s so lovely here in Venice. Despite my headache, because I caught too much wind yesterday on the beach. Waking up besides the quiet Venice Canals is the best thing after ice cream at Tichy’s in Vienna or riding the bike along the beach from Venice to Santa Monica. That’s 2:1 for Venice. After arriving on Wednesday and falling asleep soon after, I had a wonderful day...

LA
It’s on. I will finally leave for LA again tomorrow noon. It’s almost 5 months since I was there last time. This time I allowed myself 2 weeks. It’s hard to say if I will be able to see everyone I wanna see, to do everything I wanna do and yes, I can’t think of a third thing, as always. Damn. Anyway, this will be 2 fun filled weeks, I can asure you about that. And I will...

Hurtling to Space (pun intended)
When I look back on my own history of space travel, it has everything there is needed, except for actually being in space. I was born in the year when a president announced to bring a man to the moon and back to earth. I was there when they really brought a man to the moon and safely back to earth (I am ignoring all those conspiracy theories, as you can see). Sitting in my grandparents living...
