Twenty percent chance of rain

It’s Sunday morning and the predicted 20 percent chance of rain turned into 100 percent at 4:45. I hope it stops soon. Brrr.

But let’s look further back. Friday was a real vacation day. And I loved it. Sleeping in, having lunch in Santa Monica with my dear friend Kenny (@geekyfanboy) at the Daily Grill. Doing a bit of Laundry before and after lunch. Picking up my new SIM card for my Google phone at T-Mobil, trying to figure out how to buy a data pass (which I figured out after some digging on Saturday morning) and hanging out and having lunch with another of my dear LA friends Laurie (@laurierecords). A Seattle girl who is living the dream in LA as a successful casting director. I really love her, she’s one of the brightest and sweetest persons you can possibly imagine. But so are all my other friends here in LA and I’m extremely happy to have met them all.

Saturday was a big day for me. I had the chance to visit The Guild (@theguild) on set, because the shooting of season 5 is still going on. Thanks to Brian Kameoka (@briankameoka) and the rest of the team who made this possible for me. And thanks to Kenny for showing me around and providing me with lots of behavior tips on set. I can’t say a lot about the shooting day, but it was awesome. A lot of people were there and of course the complete cast and some more people I know and love in the webseries and film business. I was very excited, especially as so many of them already know me and guess what, the first person I ran into after arriving there (after Kenny of course) was Felicia who greeted me. And every time I see her I’m wow, that she remembers me. :)

I took a break at around 2pm to take my chance and visit Jonathan Nail (@jonathannail) at his home to take a look into his garage where he has built the SOLO (@SOLOTheSeries) set, which I’m involved in quite a lot. We talked about SOLO and how it possibly can evolve into season 2. Let’s see if and how it works out. There are some interesting things coming up after the last episodes goes online this coming Tuesday. I hope you all have catched up with the latest episodes and watch the grand finale on Tuesday.

After that I returned to the Guild set to watch some more of the shooting until they wrapped for the day at around 5:30pm. I left for home, because I got hungry despite the formidable catering provided by Denise (@denisepantoja) another one of the sweetest girls I know. I thought about getting some food at the @veggiegrill in Santa Monica, but then I remembered the Whole Foods goodness and went there to buy some sushi, spring rolls, crème brûlée and strawberries. It was sooooooo good.

I tried to watch the new episode of Doctor Who after having dinner, but I was so tired I slept during the whole episode. I have to try to watch it again today, but I don’t think I will be less tired this evening, because I’m almost on my way to Orange County for another day on a different set.

It’s the shoot for the pilot of Replaced (@replacedseries), a series by Heath Vinyard (@heathvinyard) I’m also involved in. The producer of the series is Allison Vanore (@alliecine) and Rob Gokee (@robgokee) her fiancé and soon to be husband does the musical score, both will be on the set too, or are probably already there. As the call time is 7:45am. Luckily I don’t have to be on set that early. ;)

Now I really hope the on and off raining stops soon. I don’t have any atire for rainy weather. Hear me weather gods? Pretty please stop the rain for today.
