Hollywood was freezing cold

At least in my opinion Hollywood was freezing cold in the last two days. Rain and dark clouds all over the place for most of the time. But it’s back to almost normal now.

I’m way behind in writing about my LA trip so here a short recap what was happening since Monday (besides the rain and cold).

Moving day was kinda okay. I was out of the house in Venice by 11am and had to kill 2 hours of time till I could move in at my new place in Hollywood. And what’s better for killing time than eating lunch at The Veggie Grill (@veggiegrill) on Sunset Boulevard. It was epic, as always at the Veggie Grill.

Moving in was easy as it can get. I have a parking spot in the garage and my room has a big bed and I even have my own bathroom. The guy who lives here is nice and I can use the equipment of the whole apartment any time. It’s also right around the corner of the Kodak Theatre, just a block away. I can’t wish for more for the low price I have to pay. It’s also more fun to stay in a private apartment than in a hotel. It feels more like being a resident.

Monday afternoon I went to the last day of The Guild shooting. I stayed there for about 4 hours and left frozen to the bone. It was sooooo cold. And they shot till 3 in the morning on Wednesday. I really didn’t envy them that day.

Tuesday morning a lot of rain again. I slept in and stayed at home most of the morning and afternoon. Bernie Su (@BernieSu) called me around 3 and we headed out to grab something to eat and talk webseries and life. It’s always fun, relaxing and insightful to hang out with Bernie.

Tuesday evening I went to a premiere of a webseries called The Diary Of A Wedding Planner. They screened 3 episodes plus snippets of episodes 4 and 5. I didn’t know almost nobody there. Allison (@alliecine) was there (she directed episode 3) and Diane (@beckdiane) and Susyn Elise Duris (@susyneliseduris) was there, with all three I was at the Replace (@replacedseries) shoot on Sunday. It was fun, but I felt kinda misplace with all those beautiful girls around. ;)

Wednesday I had plans with Harry (@neghvarnews) for lunch in Studio City. He is an Austrian guy who lived here for 8 years is now returning to Austria in August. It is always fun talking to him. After lunch I left for coffee and pie with Sandra Payne (@SPWrite), it’s always hard to find time together while I’m in LA and really love to hang out with her a lot. She is a kind and funny person to talk to and hang out with.

After my meeting with her I had my first encounter with parking enforcement, because I sat in the car for too long (reading a lot of missed tweets) and my meter ran out. He luckily just asked if I’m arriving or leaving and I said leaving. And he let me leave without any harm.

In the evening I had the pleasure to be at the @tubefilter event at Busby’s East, but before that I had my first Taco encounter as well, with Bernie Su (@BernieSu), 1Tim Street (@1TimStreet), Derek Housman (@DerekHousman) and Shawna Benson (@TeelaJBrown).

The @tubefilter event was fun, talking about @TheDigiTour. A tour were they brought YouTube celebrities on stage and to there fans.

I was seeing a lot of people I have never met before, like the funny Chris McCaleb (@chrismccaleb), Steve Woolf (@stevewoolf) and Marc Hustvedt (@marchustvedt). Jenni Powell (@jennipowell) was also there, busy as a bee. :) In the end at the parking lot while leaving I ran into Andrew Seely (@andrewseely), too.

The days are running so fast. My vacation is almost over. Okay, still 5 more days, but… I’m sure you know the feeling. When you are at a place you love there is never enough time.
